Road Closure Information

Light the Nations will take place on Saturday October 19, 2024 from 2 pm-10 pm along 51st Ave between Georgia Ave and Michigan Ave. The event features live music on 3 stages, performance area, vendors, and food.

The entertainment runs from 2 pm until 10 pm with sound checks taking place on Saturday, October 19th between 12 pm - 2 pm.

Below is a list of street closures for the event and approximate times.

  1. 51st Ave between Georgia and Michigan from 9:00 am until 11:59 pm

  2. Illinois Ave between 52nd and 51st and 51st and 49th will be controlled to allow local traffic only.

  3. Indiana Ave from 52nd to 51st and 51st to 50th will be controlled to allow local traffic only.

This letter serves as a courtesy notice to inform you that on street parking will be TEMPORARILY restricted in this area on Saturday, October 19, 2024.  Please plan to park your vehicle in an alternate location on the event date. Any vehicles left in No Parking areas, during times listed above, will be ticketed and towed at the owners’ expense.

Detour recommendations if you are traveling west is to use Michigan Ave. or Georgia Ave. If you are heading east, use Alabama Ave. or Michigan Ave. If you are traveling north/south, use 49th or 52nd.
